So, briefly about us: Retroshirty is a trademark of the company media empire Lott&Schmidt GbR from Karlsruhe. We are a small company, founded and run by the former journalists Gunnar Lott and Christian Schmidt.

Gunnar and Chris were once game editors at GameStar, Making Games and GamePro; co-podcaster Fabian (Käufer) has worked for Rocket Beans, IGN and the Official PS2 Magazine, among others. These days we run the podcast Stay Forever together, which is a kind of archaeological expedition into the history of video games.

Retroshirty is our second mainstay, the products are selected and tested by us, the (mostly) exclusive designs come from our graphic designers, namely Milos Kostic (Pixelmotives) and our web designer and graphic designer Paul Schmidt (everything else).

Disclaimer: Manufacturing and shipping a diverse portfolio of merchandise exceeds our capacity, so the majority of the products on this site are manufactured, packaged and shipped "on-demand" by our partner in Latvia. This mainly applies to the standards, shirts, cups, posters. We also keep individual items in the Retroshirty headquarters in Karlsruhe, such as the book range, but this is not the rule. The shipping invoice in the package always makes it clear where the goods come from - and where the return goes in the event of a complaint.
