For shipping – items from Latvia:
Most of our products are shipped from Latvia by our partner Printful. Shipping takes about three to five days, with printing adding an additional one or two days depending on the product. There is also an "express shipping" option that reduces the delivery time by about one or two days, but in most cases this is probably not worth the huge extra cost. We automatically send an email with a tracking code from the Latvian post office when the product has left the warehouse. In Germany, the items are then usually delivered by DPD or DHL. Please note: Shipping to packing stations is not possible.
The shop automatically calculates the shipping costs when the purchase is completed. The standard case for shipping with the “flat rate” option within Germany, for example, looks like this:
T-shirt: 3.69 euros for normal shipping (including packaging) for the first shirt, plus 1 euro for each additional shirt. An order of, say, 5 shirts would therefore incur shipping and packaging costs of 7.69 euros.
Cup: 4.99 for the standard shipping (including packaging) of the first cup. ( Yes, unfortunately, cups are difficult to ship. ) For each additional cup, 1.50 euros is added. So an order of, say, 2 cups would incur shipping and packaging costs of 6.49 euros.
phone case: 2.99 for normal shipping (including packaging) for the first cover. For each additional cover, 0.75 euros is added. An order of, say, 3 covers would therefore incur shipping and packaging costs of 4.49 euros.
For the calculation, the most expensive item is always set as number 1, and the reduced rate applies to all others. If an order contains, for example, 1 mug, 2 shirts, 1 cell phone case and 2 stickers, then the calculation goes like this: 4.99 euros for the mug, 2 euros for the two shirts, 0.75 for the case and 0.10 euros (0.05 each) for the stickers, which makes 7.84 euros for everything.
Packaging : Individual shirts come in a polybag, which is a soft, lightweight plastic bag. We always send posters rolled up in a solid cardboard roll, even for small formats (DIN A4). Cups and other solid objects are sent in boxes with as little empty space as possible.
Products from Karlsruhe:
We ship a number of products directly from the SFHQ in Karlsruhe, namely the range of books and a number of small items, such as stickers or calendars. Small items are sent in a padded envelope with Deutsche Post, larger items as a parcel with DHL. We support GoGreen from DHL.
The shipping costs are as follows:
Shipping to: Germany
Book: Free shipping
Letter (sticker) 0.99
Large letter/Büwa (bags, stickers, certain books) 1.99
Insured Package (Calendar) 4.99
Shipping to the above mentioned EU countries:
Book: 6.99
letter (sticker) 1.50
Large letter/Büwa (bags, stickers, certain books) 3.99
Insured Package (Calendar) 6.99
Multiple packages:
If an order contains items from Karlsruhe and Latvia, two packages arrive, and the shipping costs in the invoice only refer to the "Latvian" items. Shipments from Latvia are also often split into several packages, usually when the goods cannot be sent together - posters, for example, are very unsociable because they need their own poster packaging, so you can't put a cup in them.
Addendum: Our printing and fulfillment partner Printful pays fees under the German Packaging Act (“VerpackG”) on our behalf.
